Today, October 29th, marks one year since Superstorm Sandy began to wreak its havoc on the eastern seaboard. CardCash.com’s headquarters located in Brick, NJ is just down the road from the Jersey Shore, where some of the worst devastation wrought by the storm went down.

Our offices lost power; we were unable to process gift cards for a number of days, and it took weeks to get back on our feet.

But it wasn’t hard for us to put business interruption into perspective; all we had to do was take a short drive down the road and see the damage done by the storm on our neighbors. Homes destroyed; livelihoods swept away by the storm; and lives altered forever.

Now, one year later, most of the area is back and better than ever. Restore the shore efforts have been successful. Our hearts and prayers do go out to all those still not back on their feet.
