Excitement is building here at CardCash.com as we move forward with many great projects. Today we chose the winners in our inaugural social media giveaway where we asked entrants to tell us what they love about our discounted gift card exchange. We whittled down the numerous entries we received via Facebook and Twitter (where entrants used the #giftcardlove hashtag) to 3 finalists which we then brought to our team for a final vote.

And the Grand Prize winner of $50 to use towards discounted gift cards at CardCash.com is….

Lauren Arce for the following submission-

“Buying discounted gift cards is like getting cash to many of my favorite retailers for less and still being able to use coupons in conjunction — awesome$”

We asked one of our panelists Hannah, Head of our Customer Service Department why she loved Lauren’s submission. Her answer: “Short and to the point-with a touch of flair at the end. I agree, it is awesome$”

Allison Stevens- “I sell to give others things they want at less on places that I have things I don’t want! I buy so I can spend the extra money on impromptu ice cream trips with my kids;-) Oh and shhhhhhhhhhhhhh….Disney World takes Disney Store gift cards so if you are planning a trip….every little bit helps!!!!!!”

Linda Lowman Selvidge- “I am a buyer of gift cards. I love buying these cards when payday rolls around. Then I wait a few days for them to arrive. I bundle them up with discounts from the stores that arrive in the mail, online or via store loyalty cards, and I save a ton of money. I buy from the places I know I need to go to in the next month or so. And I make sure I buy at least one restaurant card so our family of 4 can eat out once in a while. While I am shopping, I am mentally discounting items (if I got a gift card for 15% off, and I see shoes for $40 that I like, I already know that I am getting them for $34, plus whatever other discount I happen to have with me.) LOVE this!”
